Abstract
The article presents indices of forgetting material of various content obtained as a result of 12-year longitudinal study (2009–2020). A part of the text of biological content was least likely to be forgotten if it contained material descriptive in nature: variety of plants of nightshades family, and the homeland and history of the potato spread, and was most likely to be forgotten if it contained information about the structure of plants of the family. In the case of a historical text the information concerned with the battle, the duel of warriors, the victory of Russian army, princes’ nicknames is less susceptible to the forgetting process, while the information about the course of the battle and subsequent events is more susceptible. The forgetting process mostly depends on the specificity of intellect functioning and regulating mechanisms of mnemonic abilities of a person revealing subjective and individual patterns of mnemic processes.
