Abstract
The article examines value priorities and psychological personality traits of both male and female cadets of “Young Army”. Young boys are distinguished by a higher level of aggression legitimization in certain spheres and difficulty with self-control, as well as preference of easy tasks and propensity for egocentrism when the antivalue “wealth” is in priority. The index of psychic tension interdependent upon the value “moral values” and antivalue “power and personal ambition” being dominant. The girls having a higher level of psychic tension are more goal-directed, satisfied with their social status, and have a clear view of the future. Commitment to patriotic and traditional values reduces propensity for risk and aggression. Girls who value traditions take fewer risks as their belief system focuses on preserving traditional foundations and not destroying them.
