The paper is concerned with the issue of the interrelation of psychological readiness to maternity and some peculiarities of the emotional make-up of pregnant women. The variance in the levels of pregnant women’s psychological readiness has been revealed. Some aspects of women’s emotional make-up have been examined, these include: heteronomy index, concentricity index, personality traits balance, autonomic (vegetative) nervous system balance, efficiency, distress, and anxiety. The study has revealed the interrelation between the levels of psychological readiness to maternity and the emotional make-up of pregnant women. The statistical analysis has revealed that pregnant women with high level of psychological readiness typically have stable emotional state, striving for success, self-actualization and independence, as well as high standard of efficiency, low level of stress and anxiety.
