Teacher’s Meaning-Generating Activity as a Means of Spiritual and Moral Development of a Schoolchild

Abstract
Spiritual and moral development of a person is viewed as a process of development of axiological sphere of a person aimed at making a schoolchild able to assess and build his or her life in accordance with moral norms and values. Meaning-generating activity of a teacher is seen as a key tool of development of axiological sphere of schoolchild personality. Capacity of teacher’s meaning-generating activity to represent the world at the level of entities of the highest rank (universal principles and objective laws, values, and meanings) is revealed. Moral sphere of a schoolchild personality is studied in terms of level of development of values and meanings hierarchy. Transformation the content of schoolchild’s activity done both in class and outside of class hours from the perspective of non-pragmatic values is seen as teacher’s professional competence.
