Abstract
The article presents the results of the study of young people’s social perceptions of activity in a virtual environment. The association test helped to reveal a structural nature of young people’s social perceptions of virtual activity including a core and periphery. The core consists of one association “communication”; the first zone of the periphery is also represented by one association “manipulation”; while the third zone is the largest and includes such associations as “anonymity”, “addiction”, “attention”, “fake”, “information”, “communication” and “content”. Based on the analysis of the representations obtained three components of the perceptions of virtual activity can be identified: social psychological, cyber-environmental, and individual psychological.
