Complementarity of Irrational Demands of Men and Women of Different Generations and the Problem of the Family Institution

Abstract
The article presents the results of the comparative analysis of irrational demands of men and women belonging to different generations enabling to identify conservative, progressive, neutral demands as well as lack of demands. Different groups’ attitudes were compared in terms of: the number, occurrence frequency, and complementarity of attitudes of men and women of various types and different generations. The analysis has shown difference in correlation of conservative and non-conservative attitudes men and women belonging to different generations, which were more pronounced in men who acquired progressive attitudes at a later stage (unlike women). The conclusion is that there is a greater chance of forming a stable family by respondents with dominating conservative attitudes, while people having nonconservative attitudes are less likely to form a stable family. The article analyses orientations for the work to address modern family problems in the context of the lack of complementarity of attitudes of men and women.
