Dynamics of Professional Identity of Psychology Students Depending on Their Deep Beliefs

Abstract
The article analyzes the dynamics of professional identity in psychology students depending on their deep convictions. On a sample of 302 subjects, using the methods of “SEI-test” by E. L. Soldatova, “Crisis Identity Questionnaire”, “Methodology for studying professional identity statuses” by A. A. Abzel, the Rogers-Diamond method and the method of “Diagnostics of irrational attitudes” by A. Ellis, the authors highlight the features of identity formation depending on the severity of deep convictions (Catastrophization, Should-be, Evaluative attitude, Frustration tolerance, etc.). It turned out that the dynamics of identity statuses in general and its professional component are influenced by the Evaluative attitude and General rationality, and the dynamics of the identity crisis - by Catastrophization. The specifics of the influence of deep convictions in first-year and senior students are described. Assumptions are made about the causes of such dynamics and its cofactors.
