Age-Related Changes of the Indicators of Intellectual Development at Various Stages of a Preschool Period

Abstract
The article considers common features, interrelation, and sequence of stages in the development of intellectual development components in preschoolers. It has been found that it is reasonable to view the criteria of children’s intellectual development through the assessment of key intellectual acts, extended speech acts, flexibility and liveliness of images and views of natural world. The empirical study of age changes of indicators of intellectual development has been carried out on the sample of 5, 6, and 7-yearolds (n = 199). The study has found difference of average values of indicators of intellectual development in three age groups. The authors have identified the type of the way of development of indicators with the help of the graphic of three points of child’s development. The study has found difference in the value of indicators the child has achieved by a certain age period.
