Specific character of the sports referee personal qualities manifestation and expression is presented in comparison with those of physical training teachers, as well as through comparison of the specialist qualities expression in accordance with his qualification. The role of self-attitude in the sports referee personality structure is shown. Also given is a wider notion of the pattern of personal traits and qualities influence on both self-attitude (as a general attitude towards oneself) and its components (self-respect, self-accusation etc.). The following self-attitude characteristics are pointed out and described: integral index of self-attitude, “self-interest” and social status motivation. The personality structure based on the athlete personality model by L.K. Serova and the professional personality structure by E.F. Zeer served as the foundation for the complex approach towards the sports referee personality research.
