In the paper we discuss the issue of prevention of risk of suicidal behavior among adolescents. We briefly review the theories of risk and suicidal behavior, including the theory of ABS, the theory of the suicidal barometer and suicide model developed by A. G. Abramova and B. S. Palouge. Also we consider the factors of suicidal risk. We present the results of our study of risk and suicidal prevention among adolescents by means of art therapy, which we consider to be helpful to our participants to develop self-regulation skills. The study involved 139 students of 9-10 grades of Kuzbass’ high schools. The obtained data helped us to describe the features of the emotional and regulatory component of the risk of suicidal behavior among adolescents. We have found out that in the time of exams emotional state of high school students significantly deteriorates. According to the results of the study, it can be concluded that art therapy training helps to maintain a favorable emotional state of high school students at this time.
