The paper deals with some peculiarities of the identity system of psychology students. Findings of the empirical study have been used to analyze basic changes taking place in the identity system of students during their study, as well as education factors contributing to the changes. The author presented the results of the comparative study of the identity system and its dynamics regarding the students taking a specialist’s program and Bachelor’s Degree students. Special attention has been paid to student’s professional identity and its transformation during the training period. The author came to the conclusion that major directions in the changes of students’ identity system were increasing complexity of the system, differentiation, changes in hierarchy and the content of both the system as a whole and its components.
