The paper deals with psychological issue of interrelation of self-control level and volitional qualities. Different views on the issue have been presented. The author identified the essence of self-control and specified its functions and aspects. Basic approaches to the issue of volitional control have been analyzed. Volitional qualities have been considered as a criterion of volitional control. The author presented the results of the empirical study of interrelation of self-control level and volitional qualities of psychology students. There is significant positive relationship among overall level of self-control, self-control when performing some activity, volition self-esteem, and volitional qualities of future psychologists. The interrelation of the level of self-control and volitional qualities of future psychologists is very complex and indirect.
