Training of Teachers for Work with Gifted Learners
The paper is concerned with psychological readiness of a teacher for work with gifted children. Teacher’s qualities that are vital for efficient work with so specific kind of pupils are analyzed. The results of comparative research of well-formedness degree of teachers’ professional qualities are given. Successful teachers reveal close ties among abnotiveness, reflexiveness, and creative activity. These teachers have reflexiveness, internality, creative activity, abnotiveness, affiliative motivation of middle or high level. The author comes to a conclusion that the teachers trained to use educational techniques develop professional qualities vital for efficient work with gifted learners.
