Information Analysis Activity of Students and Difficulty with Its Implementation in Modern Education

Abstract

The paper deals with the role of information analysis activity in modern education. Available information about information analysis activity and its definition are synthesized. This type of activity is validated as an integral part of education, and an inherent part of any professional activity as well. Difference between information analysis activity and information work is pointed out. Main directions and principles of the activity are identified.

Special attention is paid to students’ readiness for information analysis activity and common difficulties of its implementation in modern conditions. Skills to use the Internet and basic MS Windows applications are analyzed through practice.
