Peculiarities and Interrelation of Coping strategies of Psychology Students

The results of the study of coping strategies used by the students in psychology are presented. The authors identify the relationship between the level of maturity of communicative skills and the choice of coping technique in stressful situations, they attempt to interpret subjects’ having high level of communicative flexibility and tolerance as well. The fact that the students of psychology using different coping strategies are likely to seek social support in stressful situations, self-control and planning copings in particular, is analyzed. Positive and negative interrelations between such factors as self-control characteristics and positive transvaluation according to the «scale of acceptance of other people» test, planning measures and search for social support, and between confrontation and avoidance strategies are interpreted.
