The article presents an attempt to classify adolescents’ traits accentuation on the basis of emotional and volitional attributes. The author takes into account the fact that current typologies of accentuations do not share a unique classification basis. Emotional and volitional attributes are taken as a classification basis of traits accentuation. Three emotional and volitional factors have been identified in the course of the research they are volitional regulation factor, emotionality factor, and emotional attitude factor (interactive). On the basis of these factors twenty three clusters are identified and thought to be character types. These clusters are closely related to the typology of the character accentuations by A. Ye. Lichko making it possible to classify accentuations of character on the basis of emotional and volitional character traits.
