Abstract

The results of the theoretical and empirical research of critical thinking of senior citizens who became victims of fraud are presented. These results show low and medium level of critical thinking of senior citizens who became victims of fraud. This accounts for their credulity and being not ready to find the answers and objectively assess a fraud. It was found that fraud is committed against seniors not involved into labor activity and living separate from their relatives. The study confirms the supposition that probability of committing senior fraud is associated with ideological victimhood preconditioned by specific thinking of a socialist society person.
