Nursery children mothers see basic function of joint reading in stimulation of his or her cognitive skills underestimating joint reading value for development of social and psychological personal qualities. Specific feature of view on joint reading of mothers with children belonging to different genders is that they attached more importance to involving fathers into reading with their sons.
