View of Nursery Children Mothers on Joint Reading

Abstract
The study is concerned with special aspects of view of nursery children mothers on joint reading and their relation to parents’ attitude. The ideas turn out to be contradictory ones, with attaching much importance to the reading itself mothers show lack of knowledge about the way to make this activity interesting for the child so that he or she preferred reading to other activities. Nursery children mothers see basic function of joint reading in stimulation of his or her cognitive skills underestimating joint reading value for development of social and psychological personal qualities. Specific feature of view on joint reading of mothers with children belonging to different genders is that they attached more importance to involving fathers into reading with their sons. Mothers describing their family and child-parent relations as harmonious ones were proved to choose proper strategies of joint reading.
