Abstract
The article presents the results of the empirical study aimed at revealing psychological factors determining transformation of family values in women 20-25 years of age. The analysis, conducted using validated techniques (by M. Rokeach, D. A. Leontiev, Zh. A. Arutunyan, L. G. Pochebut), showed that dominating internalized forms of normative regulation and lowering propensity for conformal behavior are accompanied by the downgrading of family values and shift of life priorities towards professional and personal self-realization. The results obtained confirm the hypothesis that there is a clear correlation among the type of normative orientation, the level of conformity, and the nature of family attitudes. Changes in the structure of life goals of young women were found to be psychologically driven.
