Abstract
The article presents the study of the correlation between an explicit attitude and an implicit tendency of nearing/distancing from people with skin imperfections. The subjects did a task on a computer where they had either to place nearer the photos of people with dermatological facial problems (capillary angiodisplasya, pitted acne scars, acne) or to distance them, fixing the time of the response delay. The study has shown no difference between behavioral tendency of nearing and distancing towards people with dermatological facial problems and without them. The subjects showed readiness to start personal relationships and positively assessed the social status of this kind of people. The study has revealed no correlation between the indices of the implicit task of nearing/distancing and those of direct questionnaire methods. The subjects need more time to show behavioral tendency of both nearing and distancing towards people with skin imperfections.
