Psychological Peculiarities of Conflict Proneness in Adolescence and Specific Training to Reduce It

Abstract
The article deals with the essence of the concept “conflict proneness”, its symptoms in adolescence, with special attention being paid to the causes of its rise, and situations when conflict proneness appears. The article aims at investigating ways to prevent and reduce conflict proneness of adolescents. The study has shown that conflict proneness is predetermined by psycho-physiological and age character traits, education environment, conflict situations, and adolescent’s intrapersonal conflicts. The work to reduce adolescent’s conflict proneness should be comprehensive; it should include teachers, parents and adolescents themselves. Its forms are diverse – preventive conversations, awareness raising lectures, mindset trainings. Mindset trainings are proved to effectively reduce the level of conflict proneness.
