Psychological Features of Adolescents with Different Indicators of Learning Load

Abstract

The psychological features of pupils of adolescence with different indicators of educational load are considered. The concept of “optimal academic load” is introduced into scientific circulation. Justify the importance of the assessment of the study load according to two criteria: objective or “quantitative” and subjective one, the latter involves the student assessing his own study load. The results presented are studies of the relationships between the various indicators of the educational load of students in grades 6-8 and their psychological characteristics, academic performance, distribution of free time. The characteristics have been presented for four groups of pupils with a high, heightened, sufficient and low educational load. Identified high-risk groups with respect to the learning overload occurrence of in adolescence.
