The article will focus on the methodology of the study of spiritual measurement of self-actualization and the role of higher mental functions and meta-values in human life in this process, with awakening as integration of self being pivotal according to the author. The study attempted to restore the categories of meta-values (truth, wisdom, beauty, virtue) and higher states of spirituality, equanimity, joyfulness, loving kindness, and compassion in the semantic space of modern psychology. Entrenchment of these values is due to the being of modern people itself, their existential demands. The values are of critical importance for Russia in terms of morality, culture, and spirituality. The paper presented integrative-hermeneutical, phenomenological approach to the study of this subject matter of psychology.
