The paper deals with characterological peculiarities and types of attitude towards pregnancy of young women. There is relation between a euphoric type of attitude towards pregnancy and such accentuated personality traits (characterological peculiarities) as ostentation, affectability, and exaltation between anxious type of attitude towards pregnancy and such characterological peculiarities as stuck personality and anxiety. The results obtained lead to a conclusion that the types of attitude towards pregnancy highlighted are due to pregnant woman personality rather than environment influence. Taking into account the relation revealed it is possible to define goals and tasks of psychological counseling of pregnant women with anxious and euphoric types of attitude towards pregnancy. The results can also be used to prevent parent-child relationship problems when counseling pregnant women.
