Ways of Developing Emotional Intellect in Modern Academic Environment

Abstract
The article is concerned with the analysis of practices of developing emotional intellect in today’s academic environment based on works by national and foreign authors. The following practices of developing emotional intellect have been identified: social and psychological trainings, roleplaying games, panel debates, workshops, case-method, emotions tracking diary, art therapy. Special attention has been paid to the role of academic environment in the framework of methods of developing emotional intellect. The impact of digitalization has been highlighted: new opportunities (virtual simulations and online courses) and challenges related to the weakening of personal contacts and developing of empathy in the context of digital interaction.
