Personality Predictors of Professional Efficiency of Preschool Teachers

Abstract
The article presents the results of the study of the correlation between professional efficiency of preschool teachers and their creativity and values. The structure of educators’ professional efficiency has been characterized, the criteria of its expert assessment have been provided. 50 educators of municipal preschools and 9 experts took part in the research. The study has revealed that cognitive and aesthetic components of efficiency are higher among educators with a more pronounced level of creativity. At the same time, verbal creativity is in negative correlation with a communication component of efficiency, which is explained by professional growth of a preschool teacher in child speech discourse. The findings show that educator’s values are the factor related to the cognitive component of his or her professional efficiency and their contribution to preschool teachers’ performance indicators is significant.
