Abstract

Specific features of identity dynamics of teenagers of both genders are analyzed. Using the «Semantic differential» methods applied to random group of 302 people it was revealed that there are both gender and age-dependent peculiarities determining identity dynamics. At large girls think high of themselves. Boys, on the contrary, consider themselves to be stronger, everything that has to do with “power” is more important for boys than for girls. Its importance becomes less marked in middle and late adolescence. Moreover, though dynamics of factors of semantic differential method differs depending on whether it is a girl or a boy, they remain unchanged with regard to each other (internal factor). When dividing subjects according to a degree the factors of semantic differential method are marked, it turned out that different levels of intensity of factors of semantic differential method determine peculiarities of its dynamics.
