Ability to Cope with Stress as a Factor of Young Teachers’ Professional Self-Actualization

Abstract
The results of the study of specific features of professional self-actualization of young teachers with different levels of ability to handle stress are presented. As an object of interest professional self-actualization pedagogical style is considered as an integrative factor of young teachers’ human personality as well as their professional skills. The results show that young teachers with relatively high level of ability to cope with stress tend to use more productive pedagogical styles than their less stress resistant colleagues. The results allow us to view the ability to handle stress as an important factor of professional self-actualization at the early stage of a teaching career.
