Types of Professional and Value Orientations of People of Varied Employment

Abstract

The results of empirical research of types of professional and value orientations of people of varied employment are presented. The author shows that value system in a professional sphere makes possible not only to realize one’s labor potential but also specifies personal development. Using proprietary technology «Diagnosis of Professional and Value Orientations of a Personality» summative assessment of the sampling of 305 respondents was conducted. The results show differences in intensity of professional and value orientations: cognitive type of professional and value orientations is characteristic of people of socionomic and signonomic professions a behavior type is more characteristic of people of «man-technology» professions mixed types of professional and value orientations are characteristic of people of bionomic and artistic professions.
