Relation of Adolescent Personality Self-Identity with the Types of Reaction to Interpersonal Conflict

Abstract
The self-identity analysis is a wide sphere of personality research. Self-identity is studied by philosophy, sociology, psychology, ethics. The mentioned above sciences focus on peculiar self-identity aspects. And yet self-identity problem is understudied. This phenomenon touches upon both individual personality aspects and its social focus. Conflict is one of the most common manifestations of person’s social life. In the present research the authors study the relation between adolescent personality self-identity peculiarities and the behavior in conflict situations. The theoretical and empirical analysis gave the information about specific features of the components of personality self-identity and basic types of reaction to conflict in adolescence, and relations between the mentioned above constructs are identified.
