Abstract
The rationale for the relevance of studying leadership competence in future representatives of helping professions is presented, as well as the results of a comparative study of various components of leadership competence in three groups of students mastering different helping professions (psychologists, doctors, social workers). It has been proven that a feature of the leadership competence of future social workers is the development of the behavioral component. A feature of the leadership competence of psychology and medical students is their high assessment of their leadership abilities, which often does not correspond to the real state of affairs. Students of all three directions have an insufficiently developed individual-personal component of leadership competence: there is no pronounced expression of extraversion and spontaneity, little desire for self-affirmation, leadership, and relaxed behavior.
