Abstract
The results of a study of socio-psychological factors that define the attitude to psychological support among students are presented. The regression analysis showed that the greatest positive contribution to the readiness of students to seek help from a psychologist is made by activity, awareness of their own uniqueness and the desire for self-development, while the main blockers of the aspiration for psychological support are such behavioral features as non-adaptive and self-degrading coping, as well as emotional affection as a social support strategy. As a result of factorial analysis of variables, three factors were identified that characterize the positive attitude of young people to psychological support: “self-esteem and the ability to build close relationships with others”, “consciousness and desire to self-knowledge”, “confidence in psychological support and activity in solving problems”.
