The paper presents the results of the study of socio-psychological types of correlation between intention and expectation of young men and women not registered as being married, who have or previously had close emotion relationship partner. This study is a follow up of several theoretical and empirical studies of psychological relationships of individual and group subjects existing in relationship to one another in changing social conditions carried out at the Institute of Psychology at the Russian Academy of Sciences. Novelty of the study is the identification of general and specific socio-psychological types of correlation between intention and expectation of young men and women using the original technique of diagnostics of intention and expectation in the context of social exchange with a close relationship partner. Individual characteristics of people of each type have been described.
