Author(s)
I. S. Morozova, E. A. Pronin
Abstract

The paper deals with cadet’s personality development when adapting to studying military subjects at a higher education institution. The aim of the paper is to reveal relationship of self-regulation parameters with cadets’ personality traits when adapting to studying at the military institute for National Guard troops. The intensity of self-regulation is a means of active actualization of abilities when interacting with the outside world and oneself. The author has revealed a dominant tendency of interrelation between planning the activity and taking control of his life. The activities a first year cadet undertakes are aimed at avoiding failures, and understanding the ways of action is based on an underdeveloped competence of orienting within subjective time.
