Creativity as a Cognitive Resource in the Practice of Novice Doctors

Abstract

The paper brings forward the results of the study of the level of creativity of doctors with 3 years of service and not having qualification category. The psychological pattern of doctor’s creative personality realization has been measured for the first time with the help of «Creative Personality Aptitude Questionnaire» (O. A. Shlapnikov, M. M. Kashapov), and «Creativity Test» (N. F. Vishnyakova). The analysis of the psychological profiles revealed the way creativity serves as a cognitive resource in the practice of novice doctors. The author tried to figure out why novice doctors exercise their creativity not as often as they would like to. The author determined motivational capacity of novice doctors’ developing their creativity. Effectiveness of the treatment should be achieved within the process and not only in its final phase.
