Coping Strategies in Conflict Situations in Professional Activity of a Forensic Psychology Expert

Abstract
Proceeding of psychological expertise in court is a strictly formalized procedure, which characteristic feature is professional interaction and communication of psychology expert with different people acting as examinees and with pretrial investigation agencies as well. In the course of psychological expertise proceedings between experts and preliminary investigation bodies there can be disputes, conflicts conditioned by divergence of viewpoints on the results and scientific validity of expert finding. To improve interpersonal communication and professional cooperation in the process of forensic examination proceeding it is necessary to make sense of regulatory, theoretical and methodological problems in the professional activity of a forensic psychology expert. Issues and tensions in the activity of a forensic psychology expert actualizing coping mechanisms are analyzed. The role of coping strategies in the professional activity of a forensic psychology expert is shown.
