Abstract

Necessity of the existential approach in modern education is proved in the paper. The causes of crisis of the traditional sociodynamical paradigm, which ceased meeting current cultural situation, are analyzed. Throughout four hundred years pedagogical science and education practice developed in accordance with the canons of Modern Age exclusively as a rational system of objective knowledge devoid of subjective and personal elements as well as inner meaning of education itself. In present day conditions the most important human quality is his or her ability to transcend him- or herself, to identify from inside. There are parallels between existential approach used in humanitarian sciences and recent findings in quantum mechanics. Basic attitudes of existential philosophy are presented, and on this basis axiological postulates of existential education are stated.
