Quest Techniques in Teaching Courses on Tactics at the Educational Establishments of the Ministry of Internal Af-fairs of the Russian Federation

Abstract
The article analyses key focuses of professional training of law enforcement officers. The author considers a universal model of enhancing personal security of a law enforcement officer Zvezda bezopasnosti symbolizing the background of his competence of the service. Future law enforcement officer’s intellectual and psychological competence, being one of the model’s components, is described. Consideration is given to interactive techniques aimed at developing psychologically significant and professionally important qualities of a law enforcement officer enhancing personal security. Special attention is paid to description of quest techniques helping simulate situations, happening while performing daily official activities, making them as close to reality as possible. The author has given examples of training exercises on «Tactical and special training» and «Personal security of law enforcement officers» using quest techniques.
