Author(s)

Abstract
Specific features of the inner world of a pregnant woman at the young adult stage, being the main childbearing age, are revealed. The inner world is viewed as integral psychological structure, reflecting in its structure components («I image», «Other person image», «a generalized image of the physical world») aspects of person’s perception of him or herself and the world around. The empirical part of the paper centers around the comparison of samplings of young adulthood pregnant women with their peers – non-pregnant women and women with children. The author describes the structure and specific character of development of young adulthood pregnant women, and its relation with their personality traits and communication peculiarities as well. The data reported in the paper make possible to identify main targets for preventive and psycho-correctional measures for young adulthood women.
