The Concept of Success of Representatives Belonging to Different Generations

Abstract
The problem of psychological peculiarities of differences between generations from the point of view of success concept is considered. The authors view a success as an evaluation category of a particular result in a certain sphere being subjectively important. Achieving a certain result is closely related to personal pertinence of a subject him- or herself. The phenomenon of a success is a multicomponent structure of value, cognitive, and emotional factors determining personality’s strive to achieve an essential activity, capacity, or the best result. The concept of a success as a personality characteristic is interrelated with person’s values. The research revealed correlation between the concept of a success and belonging to a particular generation, and interrelation between different generations and their value systems is analyzed as well. Primary values for a younger generation are revealed.
