Author(s)

Abstract

The article analyses the dependence of the identity of children of different sex and age on the fact that they are brought up in single or step-parent family or full family of origin. The authors come to the conclusion that the subjects from single-parents or stepparent families demonstrate stable lower self-esteem than the subjects from full-families of origin. They show negative identity and they tend to take an attempt to find their place in the world. Single-parent or step parent family influences more negatively on boys than girls.
