The article contributes to the development of socio-psychological research of additional education: it is viewed as a process and result of the development of its subjects, requiring a systematic approach for its understanding. The purpose of the study is the analysis of social and psychological issues of consideration of supplementary education subjects’ development. The sphere of supplementary education of educators is a laboratory of structural and professional “innovations” in education. In educators’ supplementary education new forms, technologies, and trends in training and education can be and are being tested, as well as their varieties and combinations of traditional and innovative technologies, approaches, and forms of education. In supplementary professional education student teachers combine the roles of a student and a tutor, are provided with the possibility to consider capacities and limitations of various approaches, to broaden their idea of the pedagogical and other relations, to strengthen their striving for personal development, the ability to maintain and stimulate this aspiration both in their own lives and the lives and activities of their students.
